At Guiding Light Charts we tailor-make the ultimate momento for the ultimate achievement. By taking the latitude and longitude positions recorded hourly during the cross Channel swim attempt, we are able to plot the exact track taken by the swimmer. Using the latest microprocessing and fibre optics technology each light is individually programmed and plotted on an Admiralty chart no. 1892 illuminating the exact track taken across the Channel until landfall on the French coast.
With each LED illuminating in sequence the result is a stunning animated illustration of the track taken, which shows the effect of the tides and currents encountered during the swim and distant covered every hour. This creates the ultimate momento of the swimmer's achievement
Each chart is hand-made and individually programmed for every swim be it solo or relay.
Relay swims can nominate a different colour LED for each individual swimmer to further personalise the chart.
Swim charts can also include buoys, lighthouses and markers in the Channel flashing in the exact colour and sequence assigned to them.
Each chart has a special UV coating applied which gives durability and eliminates the need for glass avoiding reflections and making them viewable in all light conditions.
Then framed in one of our high quality solid hardwood frames.
The highest quality light emitting diodes and micro-electronics are used with a guaranteed lifespan of over 100,000 hours continuous use. Each chart is guaranteed for one year.
Charts can be shipped worldwide.
As every chart is individually designed please contact us for an informal chat with any queries or questions.
